When the weekend comes, we follow a different schedule at Camp Sangamon, adding even more fun to our days. We start with a sleep-in and a two hour long a la carte Diner breakfast with spectacular made-to-order food. We follow breakfast with morning seminars where our multi-talented staff have a chance to teach games and skills not offered during the week. On Saturday afternoons a range of outrageous and unpredictable all-camp games keep campers on their toes, and the cabin cook-outs and cabin nights on Sunday make Sangamon weekends a time to remember!
Every Wednesday, we have a social event with Betsey Cox - often a “retro” dance with costumes and music from the past: 60’s, 80’s and the wildly popular Disco Dance are popular options. There is also an optional co-ed contra dance in the first and third sessions, and it is always well-attended.
