The General Breed Fund - Camp Sangamon, Vermont Summer Camp for boys

The General Breed Fund

Camp Sangamon is a founding member of the General Breed Fund, a camp scholarship fund established in 1970 to help send children with limited economic resources to summer camps in Vermont. Camp Sangamon and Betsey Cox continue to work with the General Breed Fund in order to provide a Vermont camp experience to needy children of all ages, races, creeds, religions, and national origins. The General Breed Fund is a 501(c)3 organization. Your donation is 100% tax deductible. The General Breed Fund is administered by unsalaried volunteers, insuring that all donations go almost entirely to scholarships for kids. Minimal postage, printing, and administrative costs are deducted from donations each year. Camp Sangamon currently provides between seventy five thousand and one hundred thousand dollars in yearly scholarships, with somewhere between ten and fifteen thousand dollars of that amount coming from the General Breed Fund. Your donations to the General Breed Fund will allow us to continue providing these generous and important gifts to children in need. The GBF is in the process of changing it's name to the Vermont Campership Fund, and their website reflects that.To give, please visit them on the web at
